- I recently finished a year in adult braces, for tweaking a few things, and had braces for five years as a teen. I'm tuned in to information at the American Association of Orthodontists, Archwired.com (the website for adults in braces), and other related websites. I'm also the author of The Braces Cookbook: Recipes You (and Your Orthodontist) Will Love (along with Brenda Waterman) as well as The Braces Cookbook 2: Comfort Food with a Gourmet Touch (with Chef Amee Hoge). Even though I'm now in retainers, I'm still developing tips and recipes for tender teeth so check back as you progress in your treatment, and ask questions - we're not orthodontists, but we'll try to find the answers.
